Sentiero is an interactive language-learning experience for Norwegian speakers learning Italian, currently in invite-only beta. By accessing this website or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Beta service, no warranty
Sentiero is provided "as is" during invite-only beta. We are still actively developing it. Features can change, content can change, audio can be regenerated, accounts can be reset between major beta phases. We will give reasonable notice in such cases but make no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
2. What you may do
- Use Sentiero for personal, non-commercial language learning.
- Practise writing and speaking Italian inside the application.
- Save your own notes, attempts, and progress for your own use.
- Quote short story excerpts with attribution for review or educational commentary (fair use / fair dealing).
3. What you may not do
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute the stories, illustrations, audio, or other Sentiero content.
- Use Sentiero content (text, audio, images) to train machine-learning models or build derivative datasets.
- Use the "Sentiero" name or wordmark for your own product or service in a way that could cause confusion.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer billing, account systems, or rate-limits, or otherwise abuse the service.
- Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate to language-learning use.
4. Accounts and waitlist
During invite-only beta you may join a waitlist by submitting an email address. We use that email solely to invite you and to send rare product announcements. You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time by emailing hello@sentierolingua.com. When real accounts are available you are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
5. Content and AI
Sentiero's stories, hints, and audio are pre-generated using a mix of large language models, text-to-speech, and human curation. We make a reasonable effort to keep them accurate and culturally respectful, but we cannot guarantee perfect accuracy. If you spot something wrong or offensive, please tell us at hello@sentierolingua.com so we can fix it.
6. Intellectual property
The application source code is licensed under the MIT license (see LICENSE). Stories, illustrations, audio, painted assets, brand name, and the "Sentiero" wordmark are © 2026 Sentiero — All rights reserved. See CONTENT_LICENSE.md for details.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the product matures. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where relevant, announced by email to waitlist subscribers and active accounts.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes will be resolved in the competent Norwegian courts unless local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you stronger rights, in which case those rights apply.
