Learning Italian is hard. Not impossible — but harder than anyone who sells you an app wants to admit. The honest truth is that no tool teaches you a language. You teach yourself. The tool just decides whether you're wasting your time or not.

I built this because I needed it. I'm on my own Italian journey. I've tried the apps, the podcasts, the group classes, the expensive tutors. Most of what's out there is either shallow (gamified multiple choice that leaves you stuck at A2) or generic (built for forty languages, none of them well). Italian deserves better. So does your time.

Over these entries I want to show you why this works the way it does — the linguistics, the cognitive science, the engineering decisions. Not to show off, but because I think a learner who understands the method will trust it long enough to see it work.
